The GlaxoSmithKline IMPACT Awards

Our annual GlaxoSmithKline IMPACT Awards provide local healthcare heroes with both recognition and funding. Since their launch over 10 years ago, they have been run jointly with the Kings Fund, an independent charitable foundation working for better health via research, policy analysis and development activities.

Over the decade these well-established Awards have contributed over £2 million to 220 UK community healthcare charities dealing with diverse and difficult issues, such as mental illness, domestic violence, sexual health and substance abuse.
The Awards are designed to recognise and promote excellence in the work of small-to-medium-sized, UK-based, voluntary organisations that have made a significant impact on the health of their local communities.

At a ceremony held on 29 April 2008 ten winning charities were awarded £25,000, with one overall winner receiving an extra £10,000. Follow the links below to find out more about these and previous winners.

Applications for the 2009 GSK IMPACT Awards are now closed. The 2009 Winners will be announced at a ceremony in London, in May 2009. Applications for the 2010 IMPACT Awards will launch at the start of July 2009. For further information please visit the Kings Fund website.
